Headlights on with Wiper Blades

Hi all, I was trying to find something in the "search before you post thread" but couldn't find what I was looking for. I was wondering if anyone has wired their headlights to go on when you turn your wiper blades on? Since it's been the law for awhile now, and I always have my headlights on auto, I sometimes forget to turn my lights on. Any help to make me a little more lazier would be nice. Anyways, is this a somewhat easy process and any help would be, like always, appreciated.

That is like the est idea I have ever heard. How hard is it to spend like 0.5 seconds to turn on wipers and headlights? I wonder why America is the fattest country in the world......damn lazy folks.

It takes a lot more than .5 seconds to do the wiring bud. But i agree with your second sentence on other examples.

I don't think it woul;d be an easy fix.

You might want to re-read my sentence. I wasn't talking about the wiring. I was talking about turning on the wiper and turning on the headlights separately.

A few years ago a friend of mine with a Jeep Grand Cherokee told me his dealership programmed his ECM to turn on his lights with his wipers, so the option is there in some systems.

It's one of my pet peeves when people's headlight and taillights aren't on during poor visibility lke rainstorms. Many folks think that their daytime running lights will do, but they forget about their tailights.

How about when they don't turn on their lights at night? Some people are just retarded.

I wouldn't want my hids going on/off if i just wanted to clean the windshield.

and people think just because they can see the road, other cars, etc, that they don't need their lights on.

i've sometimes wondered, if you get into an accident with someone who has the right of way (but their lights are off), who is at fault? i'd assume that it would be the other person, but if there are no witnesses, how can you prove that their lights were off?

And i was just saying that lazy ppl don't try to rewire stuff. It's a lot easier to turn on wipers on than rewire right?

Regardless of who said what, the real problem is the fact people are lazy and they don't bother doing the basic things that will keep them and other drivers safer. Like how hard is it to signal when you're going to change lanes, which happens to be the law almost everywhere?

The fact is that these pinheads cause more accidents than necessary and everybody pays with higher insurance and healthcare rates.

One of the things that really sucks is that part of my auto insurance goes to pay for the deadbeats who drive without any auto insurance at all.

Low-Beam Won't Work - even with new bulbs.

I've developed a headlight problem on my 2k Maxima SE. I've got the stock headlights, and I finally had the driver side low-beam die on me after over 6 1/2 yrs. with this car (bought it new). I've been trying to search the forums via Google, but can't find a thread addressing this. I've replaced both headlights with new bulbs, but unfortunately, the low-beam on the driver side still does not work. I'm assuming I've run into some type of short-circuit, but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot, OR if this is at all common on 5th gen. maximas. I was hoping for a kind soul that could offer a suggestion or two before I get reamed by a dealer or other service tech.

Much thanks for any assistance.

I was landing last night, skipped part of the before landing checklist, and forgot to turn on my landing light.
The ground appeared REAL close in front of me and I was like WTF? Where did that come from? I switched it on just before my instructor realized what was going on, and then greased the landing because I'm awesome.

In conclusion, AUTO lights on aircraft are a necessity for pilots that drive Maximas.

why would you want to have your headlights on when wipers are on? that doesn't make sense. I think you have two hands, right? one to turn on the lights, and the other to turn on the wipers.

I agree, some people just don't turn their heads when changing lanes. I almost got hit on the road when passing a car which wanted to do a lane change when I was beside it.

Some may think its dumb but its still a legit question. I would never do it but what would you need to wire? Just wire the headlight on switch to the same wire for wiper? But wouldn't you only have 1 speed of wiper if you did that?
