new motor mounts

ok well i did the check to see if my engine was trying to climb out of the engine bay and it was, good thing is i dont need a new tranny, the slight bucking from the car was the bad mounts. anyone know where i can get new motor mounts, if its not much more money wouldnt mind getting the better mounts (urethane?) and i assume its not too much of a hassle installing them but i will worry about that when i have the parts in hand. thanks

THe Polyurethane motor mounts from Energy Suspension are better and cheaper than the Nissan parts. You can get then here. http://ultrarev.com

They transfer a little more vibration than stock but it's not that noticeable. They seem to break in after a week or two and vibrate less. On four cilinder cars the vibration is worse but the Maxima has a very smooth running engine. I only notice it at idle. The car drives a lot better with them though. Less wheel hop and crisper feeling shifts. Search around the org and get feedback from people who actualy have them in a Maxima.

They come as a set so you only need to order one.

I just got the urethane mounts installed by a mechanic. It would probably be cheaper to buy new motor mount brackets as well. He had to use an air chisel to get the liquid filled mounts out of the brackets which took a really long time. Had I got the brackets it would have taken half the time. BTY the car has a bit more vibration, but it launches 10 times better than before. And you do only notice the vibration at idle.

There is no sale on them right now. Give them a call, they DO carry them.
