Tuning without afc

I am ordering some headers and after doing much reading I've learned that dyno tuning is recommended. I have k&n panel filter, budget B pipe and stock muffler. I was wondering assuming i need to do some tuning is there anyway to do it without an air fuel controller. I'm not the kind of person to want to tune it all the time or change the set up for going to the track. Is this possible? with a laptop or something????

You could try to check the All Motor forum too. There's lots of good info in there to be found.

The word tuning seems to be used a little too loosely on this forum as of late.

I like this post: http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...2&postcount=16

Moving on,

They only other way to 'tune' with a laptop is with EMU/EMB. Both require a lot of man hours for install, more money for other electronics (wb o2).. Of course allow more time for actual tuning.

In the end, an AFC still is the best bet for raw/mild AF tuning.
