Good night tonight for the maxima...1st kill was an Eclipse RS with damn near the most obnoxious exhaust I've ever heard. He was weaving in and out of traffic, so I was pretty stoked when I got up next to him at a light. We raced, I crushed him by a long shot by the time I hit 90, then he flipped me off. Oh well, I still won.

2nd was a Cavalier Z24, but the dude has his g/f in the car, so I figured he was just playing with me. I stayed right even with him for a sec, then he gunned it. As I'm passing him, he's still in 2nd gear and I hear this fairly loud 1-2 second long hiss from his car right in the middle of the gear. He managed to stay close for about the next 5 seconds, then I took off again. He pulled up next to me at the light and asks, "super'd?". He didn't really like my reply of "bone stock" (OSCAI is close enough), cause he replied with "f*ck!" and looked away.

3rd kill was an overconfident momma's boy out with his friends in a new Mustang GT conv. Him and 2 friends, with the top down on I-264. I didn't even mean to look over at him, I was checking out another car behind me, but as I look over he looks back and laughs at me! Then he guns it (yes, he gunned it-it's not hard to miss a GT at WOT) and it's on. I started pulling on him and by 110 I had a good 4 lengths or so. He sure as **** wasn't laughing the second time he saw me, but his friends and I were. I know GT's are mighty fast, but you still gotta be realistic now and then.

My question is, the hiss from the Cavalier, could that be the reason he was so ****ed, since that hiss (if it's what I think it was) makes his car a hell of a lot faster instantly? Don't want to assume anything, but NOS has definitely crossed my mind. Any ideas?

Great kills! Real good job on the mustang GT. But, what body style was it? Cuz I don't think a fairly stock max could keep up with the new gens unless the kid missed a shift or something. The others...ya. Anyway, great kills, and maybe the kid in the cavalier forgot to fill up his nos bottle.

Maxima-ness-I live in Virginia Beach, and regularly go home to Davidson, NC (hence nc00Max)

Ironlord-thanks, and yep, I'm pretty sure it was a post-99 GT. Damned fast, but with the top down and 2 more people, not faster than a Maxima. That guy was just too confident in his ride. Oh well, looks like I gave a couple people some serious newfound respect for the Maxima!

Hey, around here, I take what I can get. Besides, I didn't instigate any of them, even the Eclipse-although I was watching him pretty closely from that light...what can I say, they asked for it.

You would not here a hissing sound from NOS, but possibly a small turbo on his car.

yeah, I'm not sure what the hell it was, but he was pretty ****ed off when he found out I didn't have any major mods. Wonder what he would've thought if I told him I was auto too...

Maybe it was an intake, or his NOS didn't work, and he thought it did. there could be a lot of reasons...
