I was wanderinging if there was anything i needed to do b4 i switch gas grades. I just purchased my 03 gle in january and have been using low grade 87 gas. i read where the gas goes in the tank one day that I should be using high grade 93. should i wait till im completly empty or dose it matter if i mix the gas or should i flush the tank and what difference would i notice.

 

Doesn't matter, if you want the full affect immediately wait till you're about out so that 16 gallons of 93 mixes with about 1 gallon of the 87...but you're not gonna hurt the car mixing it you just wont get the full effect until it mixes out in 2, 3 or 4 tanks (depending on how low it gets before you fill up)

 

start using the correct fuel ASAP
