i turn the fan on and press the A/C button and I don't hear the compressor kick on. Suggestions? Fuse? Help!! It's getting really hot in Phoenix.

well your A/c is malfunctioning. Cold have a leak and be low in charge or could be electrical less likely. You have to get it checked out.

A/C compressor not coming on?

I'm having the same issue in Nashville. Did you ever find out what was causing the compressor not to come on? It's starting to get above 80 here too.

I was thinking it was a fuse because the idle booster wasn't even kicking on, but not sure.

Most likely not enough freon. You can go to any auto parts or even Target/Wal Mart and get a recharging kit. If you notice any large amount of oil around the compressor than most likely it's gone. Check the connections in the lines and if you see a little bit of oil, tighten the connection with a flare nut wrench.

I would agree. The system has a pressure switch that will prevent
the compressor from powerin on if pressure is down due to a leak.
This is to protect the compressor from damage.

Hole in Condenser

Well, I took it to the stealership to get it checked out and they said it has a hole in the condenser...and they only want $760 to fix it! So, I'm replacing it myself and then having a shop vacuum and charge the system.

Any good leads on parts or tips about replacing the AC condenser?
