00-01 Painted Mud Flaps Vs 02-03

Everyone, I am looking to replace/paint my 01 black mud flaps that came with the car to some white/pearl ones to match the car..I spoke with some dealers on the internet and found some painted for $82...They are the anniversary edition mud flaps and I don't think they will match up since the car is not an annv edition and I don't have the aero kit on my car...Is my next best thing to take off my black ones and get them painted at an autobody shop? Or if I purchase painted guards from on 02-03 fit an 01?? I thought about painting them myself but the touchup paint I have from Nissan is in the tiny brush bottles and it would take me forever since it doesn't come in aerosol...Any input is appreciated...

I have a Grey Lustre, but I'd like painted ones to go with my painted tail lights as well.

i just saw a guy over in poughkeepsie who had a sunlit gxe with mudflaps that he painted himself...he called nissan and got the matching sunlit paint in spray can, and sprayed it 3 times and cleared it twice...it looked ok, but obviously it was a little off...not bad for 50 bucks, i was thinking of doing it myself when i get some time

I have an 00 and I did not paint mine but I brought the 01 mud flaps that came painted.

Here is the car back in the day as you can see I have all 4 mud flaps. But once you put the kit on you have to take them off as you see in the 2nd pic I took the rears off.

looks good 2k...

I was actually thinking about taking my stock mud flaps to get them painted if a shop will do it for under 100 bucks Ill do it.
But if your thinking about getting a rear lip i guess it just doesn't make any sense

Hey

I found my painted mud flaps for my 01 in pearl on nissanpartsconnection.com...I spoke with them and they stated the 02-03 flaps don't fit the 00-01's. They stated Nissan doesn't make these guards anymore but there are still a few warehouses in the country that stock parts for "older" cars. The part numbers were 999j2-mlqt103(fronts) and 999j2-mlqt104(rears)... The paint code being the "qt" portion of the number..They were $72 plus $8 shipping...Still a good price because I called several autobody shops and the cheapest I found was $100 to paint the black ones I have and they did not guarantee the paint would "stick" to the plastic...Get OEM if available to everyone....

i'd say that rear ones are the same for 00-03, except 02-03 always came paited; front m.flaps are different just because of the side skirts on 02-03.
