ok newb question time: where is the starter?

hey,

my starter went out on me at my local bank so it's sittin pretty in the parking lot. i heard if you bang on it i can at least make it home and prob replace it myself. the questions is: where is it located? and does someone know how to replace it? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

i know that you found it, but i'll try to give a little technical advice.

has it ever given problems before? when you try to crank it, are you hearing a clicking (starter solenoid)?

if no to either of those, then it might not be the starter.

Damn 2Kayznmaxima, i just had the same exact thing happen to me about a week and a half ago, except mine was sittin pretty in the Post office parking lot! Had to get it towed to my local nissan dealer to have it replaced under my extended million mile warranty! JK was replaced under my 100k extended mile warranty! Good luck!

just didn't know the thing would be so expensive! (since i'm no longer covered under the warranty)
