Replace Bose SUB?

has anyone replaced the Bose sub? I know there is a fix out there t reduce rattle, but i figured if I go in that far, i'd just replace it to something better... anything out there I can replace to get better quality and not to mess w/ any wiring ? Just a simple replacement of sub, plug and play and mount in existing hole??? please let me know.

I replaced the bose sub with a 10" polk momo sub. I made an adapter ring to filt the factory hole and allow me to hook up the momo sub to the opening. It works slick and sounds good, but would need a box to make it sound great.
