front precat SES

hey everyone im just wondering if i had a way around buying a new front precat from nissan for around 500 bucks. im not very familiar with exhaust yet i appreciate any suggestions and info.

If it's a bank 1 pre-cat, you have to get a whole assembly because it's integrated. If it's a bank 2 pre-cat, you can get that as a separate part. Go figure.

is there a way to not have any pre-cats at all? i'm not sure but wouldn't that just be a y pipe or headers or something... something after market, cheaper? thank you

You can do anything you want. It all depends on the future of your car. Do you care about emissions inspections and/or resale value? Things like that.

BTW, your sig and pic says 4th gen, correct?
