Ironlord, you can go 90-130 in 9 seconds? I want YOUR engine.

Thats what the women say too... but its not the engine, its the driver!

You just have to know how to work those automagiks...

Re: If I remember right...

The guy never blew his engine. One of the rings on one cyc. broke, but that is not major, he replaced it and its been running fine ever since.

Yes it was a Maxima with a 100shot of NOS, he ran 12.6. That was a 1 time run..all his others were low 13s.

Don in Corpus is the fastest Auto, but also the most frequent 12sec Maxima.. 12.8

Shhhhhh! Lets keep this as quiet as we can. The next thing you know those Acura guys will be all over this thread with tales of how their TL's are turning 7's in the 1/4 (with only the assistance of those super headers they keep harping about!). And then one of them will lose to a Max and then they'll complain that they would have won but they forgot to turn off the traction control/VSC......yada, yada, yada....

Watch out for the TL type S though, Car and Driver runs a 6.2 0-60 and a 14.8 1/4. That's fast!

You know that weird cuz those are the same numbers of the Acura RSX type S...a good driver in a maxima with some minimal mods(like CAI,Y pipe) can also run those numbers

acura type "s" for slow

I just can't wait for the new maxima 3.5 to come out because with the SAME hp it will **** all over the type "slow". There nice cars but they dont even come with fog lights. There old men cars. The only Acura v-6 I respect is the old Legend Gs 6-speed. Acura is an over priced Honda.AND I HOPE THEY SEE THIS. hehe

okay, it's been seen.

but talk about yawn...

type "slow".

how clever.

how delightfully original.

you *are* the man.

so this means you plan to buy one of the new 3.5l maximas as soon as they come out so you can immediately start ****ing on the type "slow" (really clever. seriously.), right?

I'm just wondering, because if ****ing on the type "slow" (this is just great. can't get any more original than that.) is your primary objective, and you just have to use a nissan sedan (there are other options, no?), why not the 3.5l altima? at least on paper it would seem to be faster than even the mighty 3.5l maxima, to say nothing of the lowly type "slow" (gosh. can't get enough of it. makes me smile every time.), what with its straight-from-the-factory old man smell.

type s = type "slow".

you're slayin' me here...

Dude I dont know if you serious or kiding, Im just basically saying as I would say to anyone that MOST people that drive Acuras 3,2cl/tl type-s's think that they have a race car. But they seem to forget that it is type S for "sport" and is not type R for "race"

you don't see many stock maximas doing 12s either, now do you?

just about any car can be made faster - just add nos, right?

I'd say the real question is, could a type s tranny take the stress of running nos?

did I say something patently unfair regarding the maxima? they don't run 12s stock, do they? you can apply the same principles to other cars that you use to soup up a maxima, can you not?

I didn't realize making those points was considered putting maximas down. I do drive a cl-s, but I haven't claimed it is faster or better than anyone else's car on this forum, maxima or otherwise, so wtf does that matter?

kinda touchy about your car, eh?

that's cool. whatever creams your twinkie, I guess...

Aw, man, just wait'll this summer when I can get back to the Utah deserts and strap that JATO unit onto my max... 4secs@210mph and... then you'll have to peel me off the side of a butte.

Oh wait. That was a camero, wasn't it?
