5th Gen only (not 5.5) throttle plate
I have read numerous posts on cleaning the plates and many issues on IACV, etc issues. but no difinitive answers that I can find on the 5th gen. Since 5.5 have diff design than 5th gen, what is the rule on 5th gen throttle cleaning? I followed motorvate's site last time but left everything on the car and had no issues. Others have had issues.
1.) I never sprayed ANYTHING into throttle body. Left it all on car.
2.) rotated throttle plate by rotating the cable mechanism throttle drum by hand.
3.) carefully reassembled intake garbage and never started car w/ stuff disconnected.
No issues. I want to do it again, but was wondering if I got lucky or did it the correct way????? Somebody on here said that if you move the plate by hand then the calibration is off. How so? Is that true? What is the best way to clean the 5th gen (not 5.5gen)??
If I missed a post on this direct subject matter, my applogies.
Thks.
