i know the SES is the service engine soon light and the CEL is the check engline light.. what im wondering is are these 2 different lights with 2 different functions? if so what are they? and when you put your key in the ON position are you supposed to see the SERVICE ENGINE SOON AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON OR ONLY ONE?

 

Your car has an SES. There is no CEL on this model year of car. IIRC, CEL went away over 10 years years ago. (96 or 97 model year)
