03 headlight clear and DDE questions

hey first off i know theres a million threads about this and ive looked through them but i wanted to clear out my turn signal and put in the DDEs just wondering what i should look for. if theres any tricky things to watch out for. i am not really the arts and crafts type so any tips ahead of time would help alot. if anyone has anymore write ups i may have not seen feel welcome to share. also i want to clear out the turn signal with the frosted lense from tap plastics. is there a part # for it or how will they know what exactly i'm talking about?

any input welcome. thanks

This is from an email a few weeks back, hope it helps:

TAP Plastics cuts 3.25" Diameter Circles from 1/4" thick P-95 Matte Finish
Clear Acrylic for the "Frosted" look or 1/4" Clear Acrylic for the "Clear"
look. We have cut over a hundred sets here in the San Leandro store and have
shipped them all over the world. The cost for a pair of 3.25" diameter
circles is only $12.50 plus any applicable taxes and shipping charges. Since
these would be going to Amarillo, TX, there would be NO taxes and the
handling charges shipping via UPS Ground would be $6.25. Email your
shipping/billing address to me and call us this morning with your Credit
Card information and we will ship your set out today. TAP Plastics accepts
VISA, MasterCard and Discover.

Thank You,

Russ Miller

Just ask the same people to do DDEs for you. If they can open up the headlights to paint ur headlights, then doing DDEs is just a matter of gluing them to your headlights and hooking the 2 DDEs wires to the right wires.

Maybe you can just read the 'how-to's and do it yourself and save some $$$. I was scared at 1st, especially when I had to put my headlights in the oven. I kept checking on it to make sure it doesn't melt.. but it won't unless maybe if your headlights are touching some metal part. If it doesn't go out apart after a few tries prying with a flathead, then put it back in the oven for another 5-10 minutes.

If you want the turn signal to look like your clearance lights (with the lines going down the lens), pick up the Malibu lights. The part number is somewhere here, and they are available at Home Depot, in the electrical section. They are actually little flood lights, and you dremel the lens after you trace your original turn signal from it.
