Opinions Please On Noise Removal

whats up everyone, just wanted everyones opinion on what the best way to silence your car is, i hear dynamats are good. Id like opinions and price estimates on how much it would be to perform these tasks and the effect they have on the noise in your car.

and by dynamatting my car, that keeps all the music IN the car? and eliminates road noise? basically does it give it more of a luxury car sound?

To achieve what you want, you'll be spending a pretty penny on the materials. Look in the audio forum and the stickies about what to buy, how to apply it, and where to put it. I put Damplifier from Second Skin Audio (a forum favorite) underneath my rear deck, and trunk, no more rattles and the bass is much cleaner and not as droney.

dynamat is good for stereo and rattles thats about it. I dynamatted my entire CRX when I had it and it didn't make a difference when it came to road noise. The dink noises from pebbles was elimated but how often does that happen. Usually just a small to medium piece on all metal pieces is enough.

NO! You will only apply dynamat to trunk, door panels, and rear deck! If you want to rip out your dash, it's all up to you but good luck putting it back together! You have 2 threads about rattling noise, one from suspension and one from music! Are you sure you or your car has all its screws in place! Sounds like you got a few screws loose!

It depends on how much you use. Go to Second Skin Audio or Google search the product and find out how much it costs per square foot.

Notice how most people are ALL about searching... that's because most people do that when doing research on something.

damn newbs....

the answers are out there. there are tons of other road noise deadening other than dynamat. and you can put it on your roof, fender, floor, door, trunk, firewall, the whole damn car if you want. it will deaden road noise. use the SEARCH, or even donate, if you really want to find out more info. i dont want to do the research, when the person itself has the ability to do so. if you dont know how, then i suggest taking some classes on how to do a research.
