Theres no advantages in them when comparing stopping power or distance on our cars. Only benefit would be for looks.

the slotted and drilled do work but you wont see a difference on a daily driver. The slots and drilled areas are there to releave the gases that build up by the pad and also lessen heat. You get the same effect on regular rotors with release of heat due to the "blades" in a stock rotor (not just max's but almost every vehicle. And these are mostly on the front wheels.) The blades act as a fan. like huff said it only increase your bling factor. Pads on a daily will give you more of a benefit.

last time on this use
the lines on stock vehicles are steel but once they go from the wheel well to the tire they are some sort of strengthened rubber. Moving to SS does not have any give like the rubber lines so brake pressure is increased slightly.

Search. Google will tell all just like a magic jeannie.

1. Go to www.google.com
2. In the box, type in "stainless steel brake lines benefits"
3. Click on the button called "Google Search"
4. Wait for search results
5. Read through search results for articles of use to you
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 but use phrase "braking power" or the like in Step 2

its good he wants to learn. I applaud him for that but the internet is a vast region of endless info. But asking why something bottoms out... you can find that in any suspension forum or book. That is basic info.
