Should I get a V-AFC (fuel control) for a stock 03?
Should I get a V-AFC (fuel control) for a stock 03?
I've read that 5th gens run really rich (just incase dumbasses put 89 in) from the factory and was wondering if any recommends it for a stock or stock/wai engine. I don't plan on doing anything performance wise besides maybe a berk or pop charger intake. But, VAFC's are getting really cheap on eBay.
Also, does anyone know if there are "default" values to start with as far as the fuel map is concerned.
TIA

Jesus christ. Thats on 3.5 right? Did you throw it on the dyno or do the free rev @ rpm and smooth out?
N/m, obviously dyno. Do you remember "about" what your setting were in 1K increments?
haha, drunk edit : Are you using VAFC or AFC? Am I correct that VAFC has 500 rpm increments and AFC has 1K rpm increments?

its the safc II
Its the safc, they dynoed and smoothned out the curve a bit , and also leaned it out a bit.
You cant go by my settings, every car runns diffrent and therfor you need to tune with a wideband or a dyno.
Here my dyno, base with intake only. Then with tunned safc.
