Gauge Cluster Failure....

00 maxima gauges just quit working out of the blue I checked the fuses, when ever I put it into test mode it goes into it but the guages dont work.If I unplug the cluster and plug it back in it works till I drive then it reads 999999 miles on the car and the gauges still work till i turn the car off.Once I turn the car off and back on the odometer is readin like 516k miles on it and the gauges arent working.I am lost I have checked the grounds and fuses. The only thing I havent checked is the wiring at the ecm.I plan on checking it tonight but if anyone has any ideas it would greatly be appreciated.Thanks.
