VIAS fix.. didn't need to be fixed.

I did the VIAS fix today.. but it didn't need to be fixed. The Cup was rock solid and i tried seeing it if was loose or not,but it wouldn't budge. My car has over 100k.. and this is the first time i have opened it up. FREAK CAR?

but... after i reinstalled every thing... the spring, bolts etc..and went on a test drive, the car felt really fast for some reason.. my car was losing traction in second gear while i was flooring it up hill, usually doesn't do that.. placebo affect...? Maybe

When i was on a straight a way.. redline 1st-3rd.. it pulled hard, even my friend that rides in my car all the time says it feels a lot faster.

free time.. it takes less then 30 mins to pull it out and put it back together.. Just make sure you use a #3 phillips... even with a #3 phillips becareful of stripping the screws.. i stripped one of the hidden ones... had to use a vise grip.

thinking about doing this soon - but also a little worried I will have to break out the vice grips. certainly going to make sure about getting the right tools and even some replacement BOLTS so that I wont have to worry about stripping those soft a$$ screws..

If your VIAS is in good working order, can you open it up and secure it even more so with some JB Weld? Or does it have to be broken to get the JB weld in there?

if it isnt broke man - dont fix it. IMO -it would have to be broken to get the JBweld in there (I have to back and take a look at the pics again though)

Damn, 220,000kms on this thing and it works. I'm scared it will break the day I decide to dyno or go to the track.

Seriously, its not that hard, just try not to strip the hidden ones, they're hard to get to with a vise grip. Make sure you use the #3 phillips and apply a lot of pressure to the screw and turn.
