i tried fitting 2k2 maxima tails on my 01 maxima they do fit right but i cant get the turn signal connectors into the socket. turn signal bulb is quite big to fit in the socket. do i need new socket from 2k2 maxima or do i need to replace all the connectors and the bulbs in order to make it work properly? please help. thanks.

I have no clue honestly... but not to sound like an *******, but you made your first post at 1:48 AM... then your second at 3:05 AM... dude people are sleeping... give it time...

 

you need the wire harness for the lights (not your car). the harness is different for 00/01 and 02/03 tailights.
i put 00/01 SE tails on my 02 and ordered the correct harness from daveb.

 

these are my stock 02 tails...you need this harness

 

ive swapped tails before and i just left the harnesses in there and switched lights with harnesses and its plug and play i dont get what the fuss is about lol

 

you know how much they run for?

some people like to do it the correct way.
the actual bulb connector doesnt fit properly in the hole. with the correct harness, you are doing it properly.

 

they are going to be sold with the tails so the next person isnt in your situation. sorry.

 

do you think that white plug connector on 02 harness will fit into 01 wiring connector?

 

the plug on the end is exactly the same. the only difference is the bulb sockets

 

i just hardwired my old 03's

 

plus the turn bulb right? anyway the local dealer is asking $50 for both sides harnesses. i am trying to see if i can find the used ones on org.

you can sell your tails without the harnesses because usually whoever buys it will throw away the hearnesses. i can pay you little less then what it cost to buy new ones. so think it over.

 

the problem is i have 01 maxima and the turn signal connector and the bulb are diffrent from 02 maxima. they dont fit in the 02 maxima taillight socket. the sockets on 02 tails are small in size and i cant fit the connector into that socket unless i scrap the sides on the socket with a sharp knife but i will ruine the socket so thats the reason i am looking for 02 tails harnesses.
