Dash Board Clock

My dashboard clock stopped working (it does not light up), does anyone know what it could be?

I had my head unit recently stolen but it was working after that. Then I got an aftermarket alarm installed and it was still working. I think its a fuse but not sure. Can the aftermarket alarm overload a fuse???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Could be a fuse... somehow Nissan decided to link as many electrical parts of the car together so if one goes, most others follow with the fuses. Kind of like Christmas lights, if one is out they all go. Check your fuses by your steering wheel and then under the hood.

Does your trip odometer reset every time you shut the car off, or have you noticed if it does or not? If it does then it is your "Electronic Parts" fuse under the steering wheel.

My car is doing this now. I have checked all the fuses and nothing was blown. Clock is not working and the trip meter resets. Any ideas??

No need to get crappy. I do know to to use a multimeter. I was just asking, in case someone already knew the cause. Which I figured out.

I found that just cuz the fuse "looks fine" that its not always the case. Try a new fuse as well...worked for me.

Not sure. I checked all of them (under the hood and inside). Then just happened to change the "Electronic Parts" fuse and that fixed the issue.

Thanks to the search function, this nearly four year old post led me directly to the issue and saved me a lot of time.

Sorry for the old bump, but thanks for the old advice.
