The car turns over but won't start. Got code 0340 which is Camshaft position sensor (bank 1). The starter has been sticking on a little lately but it always started ok. Even though the starter is turning over (and doesn't seem to be dragging) could this cause the 340 code? Also where is the camshaft sensor located ? Thanks.

 

Replace Crankshaft Position sensor, Problem solved. that sensor tells the computer when to fire each spark plug.

 

I went out today and turned the car over and it started. It's running like nothing was wrong and it's not throwing anymore codes. Now it's just a wait and see when or if it dies again. Hopefully it was a one time deal.
