Who Purchased A Jwt From Cattman Recently?
Hey; Sorry about this guys but I'm Looking for a Gentleman by the name of Brian who purchased a JWT pop intake from Cattman, and instead got my muffler. DHL picked it up on Monday 5/14 @ 1:33pm and i still have yet to recieve it. I dunno who it is but I'm suspecting from the intake that I received that it was a 5th genner on this forum. Please reply. I need you to goto the local DHL office and crack some skulls for me.
Err, I think you guys Misunderstand what's going on. I actually ordered the Cat-back from Cattman over the phone. Two weeks ago, Brian calls me up while I'm on my way home from work, lets me know that the labels were accidentally switched. Okay, so I rush home(got a speeding ticket no less) get my parts from my apt complex office, and examine the b-pipe and the JWT popcharger. I decide to not go for the intake as money i woulda used on it just went to my speeding ticket. So, I talk to brian, and let him know I can drop the intake off at the local DHL office instead of having him pay them to come pick it up monday. I'm a nice guy
so, I drop the part off friday to goto the correct address (a 5th gen owner by the name of Brian in Jacksonville, FL) and Monday, someone from DHL shows up at his house, to pick up my muffler and ground ship it to me.
DHL tracking shows they picked up my muffler on Monday, May 14th 1:33pm.
expected delivery date is 5/17/04 (coincidentally the same day Cattman Performance starts a brief vacation)
I call up DHL thursday night to see if it was just sitting at a dock somewhere and I could get it friday morning. Customer Service puts in a note for the depot manager, and said i'd get a call-back in the morning.
I call them around noon friday wondering where my part and call-back was. they said they called me(? probably called brian in FL cuz i didnt get one) and said they'd put in a notice with my updated number.
OK, so I'm not getting the muffler in time for my trip to columbus; annoying but I'll deal.
MONDAY rolls around. I call at 2pm, and ask "Where's my package?" they again took info and confirmed my number, and said I'd get a call back in 2 hours. I call them at 4:45 again. "Where's my package?" and "I was told I would be called back and you haven't"
their response, "They're having trouble finding it." REALLY? I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT. So, I futilely describe a #%&$# brown box to a CSR for DHL, noting that there's a black imprinted logo that should be on the side that reads "CATTMAN PERFORMANCE"
MIND YOU, THIS WHOLE TIME THEIR WEBSITE HAS NEVER UPDATED PAST "Shipment Picked Up."
I call them Today around 2pm, a breath away from saying "WHERE THE $^@#& IS MY PACKAGE? (but more politely because i realize that it's just some phone jockey sitting in a cube with no control)
and Now, I have this stupid freaking "Lost Item Claim Number" that they're apparently going to send me PAPERWORK to fill out for it. They can't ship a 30lb. item across the ground, I'm having doubts about their ability to ship me a document.
This really isnt something Mr. Catts is in a position to handle, other than more beetching at DHL, and maybe on the longshot just directly ship me another one. But that's not really something I'd expect from him. He's a great guy and supports us. This is more about DHL being #%@!^tards. I BET you money that the DHL guy who picked up the package knows EXACTLY where it is, and he needs to be held accountable without screwing me in the process.

Okay, It's out of my system now. I know the guy's full name down in florida but I don't think It's totally necessary to call him...yet.

Do you know the info on the guy from Jacksonville, FL.??? I know a lot of the "modded" max's here so I could look out for you. There is a local meet every tuesday and saturday for us so maybe.
PM me the info you've got and I'll see what's up. It goes without saying that I can't promise anything.
note: Shouldn't cattman have some type of insurance on this being they shipped it? Usually if an item is lost or damaged then the sender gets notification. Being that this is a company then they should be liable for this and send you a new one while they deal with DHL about getting compensated for their loss.

well, Brian's out of the office til Thursday basically, so I really haven't gotten in touch with him about it. I left him an email and I'll prolly call him when i get out of work thurs. By all impressions I have I'm quite sure we can work something out, but I'm not the sort of person to go after the company that made the part, since It's not their fault the shipping company can't tell their head from a hole in the ground. I'd appreciate it if you could float the word around. If you guys want to mob the local DHL depot, I will neither confirm nor deny any instances of endorsing this sort of action....
...but I would love to see a Lynchmob roll up in like 20 maxes and tear it up with the local depot manager
