fitting an 01 berk intake in an 03?

so my brothers 01 max was totalled in an accident but his berk intake is still good. i was thinkin i could fit it into mine with a little bit larger hose that connects the the throttle body. would this be possible.? or could i use the apexi filter as like a pop charger. just wondering what my options are if any. any input is welcome. thanks

it can be done...my 00/01 berk is on my 02.

you will have to remove and cap the two nipples that are needed for vacuum hoses on the 3.0. you will just have the one large hose...not the small two.
i broke them off and used electrical tape.

its also harder to get the coupler on the MAF tube and the coupler on the throttle body...but it can be done.

he said it was pretty tight getting the coupler on the throttle body....it probably took some major stretching tho

couldnt i just order the hose that connects to the throttle body from berk for the 02/03? would the other end fit on the 01 midpipe?

also what about just using the apexi filter as a pop charger?

I'm not trying to thread jack you tbombs32 it just doesn't make sense to start another thread with basically the same question. I want to use my 95-96 Stillen hi-flo cone filter and velocity stack on my 03 with all the stock tubing. Will that work sooner? My bad tbombs if I stepped on your toes.

As long as you have the correct clamp, it will.

I recently installed the Berk intake on my 03 and am trying to find/make a bracket like the one in soonerfan's picture. I don't understand why they don't provide one in the kit. I'm using a flimsy piece of galvanized pipe hanger temporarily, but looking for something more permanent.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Dang - How much did that run you? I think I'd prefer to not do that.

Anyone have suggestions for a bracket on the cheap? Someone has suggested a support bracket from the back of a car stereo - I might give that a shot...

take the old bracket that held the stock airbox near the strut tower and move it down by the battery. I've done this on a bunch of cars that I have sold intakes for. I used to have a btter picture but can't find it

it was about 100 bucks... but i'm thinking if you have a piece of metal, and a tool to twist it with, you can just twist it until the holes line up

Thanks to everyone for their input

I emailed JWT and they sold me the bracket by itself for $15 shipped. That seemed reasonable and it's quick and easy.

I wanted something that looked decent and didn't want to spend the time trying to find something similar or make something if I didn't have to.
