How much is my max worth ?

K guys, im not sure if this is the right forum for this but i hope the mods let it stay .

Im thinking of jumpin on the 350Z or G35 bandwagon...

Even tho right now i can easly beat them, I want RWD....

My max is a 02 SE, 108,000 leather and heated seats and steering wheel, tints

MODS:

- hotshot headers
- 2.5" catback with magnaflow resonator and OBX muffler
- 17 " titanum edition rims with new tires
- tein H with tokico blues
- Intake
- Pioneer NAVI
- apexi SAFC

Car runs strong as hell and looks pretty mint besides a few rock chips on the front that any car with 100k would have .

And I got a SES light form the o2 sims

how much is it worth, i want to get at least 10.5 maybe 11?

Your mileage is gonna kill you, you are 40K above average mileage. Usually dealers will only wholesale value for cars above 90K.

In my area $7500-$9500 Trade-In is about what you can expect. Checkout KBB.com.

Take care of that check engine light before having a dealer look at your car.

www.nada.com
www.kbb.com

your mods do nothing to the price of the car unless you sell it someone who is willing to pay for them.
your mods replace stuff that was already on the car.

Kelly Blue Book says........$8,065-$9,875 for private party sale.

the most you will be able to sell it for is about $9,500.

FYI, my 02 is worth $12,945 just because of the lower miles (64,000)

dibbs on headers thats if you part it out. i would sell it privately and i can guarentee that you'll make atleast 1-2 grand more than trade in. Just make sure you get it in cash/casier check form. I wouldnt take a personal check or anything else for that matter. good luck on the sale. id pay 10-11k for yours w/ mods and such. any oil burning on your max that you know of?

So would you guys suggest I part out the mods?

As far as the exhaust it might stay, it was the type of install I dont wanna do again, took me a full day. plus I had to cut the stock catback.

SO the most i can part is the intake, safc, suspension audio and minor things.

I put up a post for $10,500. Kbb was about $10,300

As far as the oil burning I thought it had it when I bought it, but latly it seems ok. I think i was just paranoid from reading all the posts about it, that i asumed mine was burning it to.

I love the VQ, thats why I want a G or a Z and nothing else.

Ill have the SES light taken care of, got in contact with o2 sim.com and ill hae it taken care of

dont use KBB or edmunds. my mom works for insurance compant and www.nada.com will give you the most beneficial price for the consumer. if you can, i would try to sell some of your mods seperatly..rims / navi..., bc unless you sell it private, they prob wont give you whats it worth.

I take it there's no inspection in that state? In the DC area that stuff would depreciate the value drastically since it would never pass inspection till it was all back to stock. I'd say put it back to stock and hope an older person is looking for it, most younger people I know would steer away from a fixed up maxima due to the problems and headaches.

As for the KBB, black and NADA they are have there parts so the consumer, dealership, insurance can get the most out of it. Black is lowest usually and NADA is highest that's why KBB is good it's a nice middle. You try to trade in a car the saleman pulls out the black book, you try to buy one he pulls out NADA see where I'm going with that. Cars only worth as much as somebody else is willing to pay. Good Luck

i would replace everything back with stock parts if you have em and sell out the aftermarket stuff, no dealer will pay for aftermarket stuff

and I dont think a sim is the right way to go to fix ur o2 problem, even though it would fix it, its kind of rigging it in a good fashion

but good luck with the sale

Simple answer: your Max is worth blue book value + value of your mods in the Classifieds.

If you can sell it to an "enthusiast" on a private party basis, you could get more, but those are few and far between.

I beg to differ. I've passed several inspections in VA with similar mods. The only thing he needs to fix is the MIL.
