when you retrofit those lights you do not retrofit the lense, you retrofit the whole projector. The lights come with H3 projectors(which are crap)

There is a mounting plate inside the headlight where the projector screws into. When you remove the old projector, you will have to fabricate a way to keep the new projector in. It all depends on what type of projector you are using. I had some MDX projectors and used a nut and bolt system. With my RX330 projectors, I just jd welded them together.

Keep in mind that each retrofit is different based on the model year of your car and the type of projector and ballast you chose to use. Some projectors require cutting the bracket and some don't. Mounting the ballast can be difficult based on the length of the wires, space available and etc.

If you are comfortable working on your car you do it. It just takes time and patience.

Easiest route = E46 ECE singles, drops right into bracket w/o modification. Go to Dr. Roy's Cardomain for a DIY.

does anyone know if the new G35 projectors fit into the e-bay housings, and screw in well without too much modification? or should I just go with fx35 projectors??

I've got these headlights and am in the middle of a retro. I can tell you the newer Maxima projectors (E55) will fit, but only if you cut away some of the bracket. I have some E46 Bi-Xenon that I may see if they fit into the bracket without any modification...
