Catera On Toast
#1
I was down at Table Rock Lake (near Branson) recently and saw a Cadillac Catera near me. The guy had the strobes in the rear tail light assembly. The area is very hilly with lots of twisties, so I got a chance to see what it could do. I stayed on him with no problem but once we got to a straight away I decided to give him a run. No problem said the Max. I beat him pretty good. I thought those had 8's in them... maybe it is a 6 after all. The kid lost, and I got the bird... I think I may have misunderstood and he was saying the Max is number 1.

Nice kill!!!
Nah, they just have a 3.0L DOHC V6 with 200HP and only 192 lb-ft torque - it's some newer GM engine - I'm not sure where it came from.
But with a 3770 lb curb weight that sucker won't go anywhere fast. It won't do any better than low-8's to 60 and low-mid-16 ET's.
Very underpowered for a Cadillac, and especially for the price!!

Thanks SteVTEC! Yea that was a fun kill! So that is a heavy car to it sounds like. Remember the Cadilac Cimeron?? I saw one of those the other day... it has been years! I still hate to see what they did to those Cavaliers. haha
