Pulling Codes

I have look around and cant find out how to pull codes from my SES light. I tried this method :

Make sure engine is off, and gas pedal is completely released.
Turn the key to the “Ignition” position (but do not engage the starter), and wait 3 seconds
Press the gas pedal all the way to the floor, then release completely - Repeat this process 5 times in 5 seconds.
Wait 7 seconds, then press the gas pedal all the way to the floor, and hold for 10 seconds.
When the SES light begins flashing, release the gas pedal.
At this point the SES light will blink a 4 digit code (0 = 10 flashes), pausing briefly between digits, and pausing slightly longer between codes. Any stored codes will continue to repeat themselves.
Once you have written down all the stored codes proceed to clear the computer.
Press and hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor for more that 10 seconds.
When the SES light starts flashing again release the gas pedal.
The SES light should flash 10 times, pause, 10 times, pause, 10 times, pause, and 10 times.
Turn the key to the “Off” position
Wait 3 seconds, and start the car.

and it didnt work. I also went to autozone and kragen and they told me they are not allowed to pull codes. Is there anywhere that i can get them pulled or a different way i can do it myself?

i guess you'll need the ODB-II scanner then.

dunno why your autozone won't pull it...they should.

Autozone has ALWAYS pulled my codes, too. I'm not sure why that particular store isn't doing it...

Autozone has to pull the codes, its one of their complimentary services advertised. The only thing they dont have to do is reset the codes.

Don't think you can see it in your pics.

But I think it is the only sensor that is in the intake snorkle.

If you're standing in front of your car looking at the engine bay, the sensor is to the left of positive battery post. I can email you a copy of the repair manual diagram if you send me your email address.
