Poll: Yellow Fogs or Fogs to match headlights?

just wondering how many people are sporting the yellow ("is300") look as opposed to getting fogs to match their headlights.

im rockin the piaas but I'd get HID's if I could. I'm into matching headlights as well. I never really liked the whole yellow fog thing, even though fogs are really supposed to be yellow...

Im running Nokya's right now. I will be upgrading to HID fogs very soon. I'm not a fan of the yellow fogs at all, I think that fogs look best matched with the headlights.

I guess imma be the first one to oppose and say Go for the yellow fogs but get em HID so they'll be nice and brigh. I personally think it gives the car a sportier look but that may just be my .02 whatever you do you should do it cuz u like it not cuz every1 else does cuz at the end of the day its your car.

i have had the piaa yellow fog bulbs, the actual lexus yellow foglight capsuls now i have aftermarket yellow fogs that fit my new body kit, i like yellow

the fogs above are the capsules on the left H3 capsules with the stock foglight bulbs (in a few days they shattered in the foglight houseing bc of the heat)on the right are the 9006 capsules that were to tall for the 02 foglight houseing

below is only the piaa yellow bulbs

I am getting fogs for xmas and i am going to go yellow. I've done som research and while putting those capsules in looks good, i've read alot about luminics JDM yellow. I've seen pics and they almost exactly the same as the capsules. So i think i'm going to go with the luminics because drilling holes into my fogs housings doens't sound like something i want to attempt.

They dont look almost exactly the same, just sounds like you dont want to put in the capsules. Trust me, if you want to go yellow, capsules are the way to go. Just look at Irishs setup, you arent going to get that from the luminics. I did yellow bulbs before I did the capsules and the difference was night and day when I finally installed them.

yellows look the best with hids but i personally wouldn't put it on my car, and i have hids. it does help, but i think our fogs stink for output. i have the OE fogs in there. i've been through my selection of "hyperwhite" bulbs and they've been burning on me. OE has treated me well, also, imo... makes the hids stand out WAY more than "hyperwhite" bulbs.

only thing i have that's not OE are my clearance lights, they are "hyperwhite". everything else is amber or red LED.

There is a lot of discussion on what looks better, but what works better? I live in the sticks and we get some bad weather so I've been trying to decide whether or not to go yellow. BTW, where do you get the capsules?

Bugbite you still have your 2k2 fogs with the capsules cause If you dont need them I'll buy them from you or I can trade you mine plus cash.

WELL i think this goes with the thread, for thoes people looking to go yellow with the capsules, this info might be helpful.

The 9006 size which fits fine in the 00/01 fogs, is too tall for the 02/03 fogs (even with modifying the legs on the capsul, the glass still hit the capsule)
The H3 was too small for the foglight. the bulb fit in the capsule, but there wasnt enough space for the light to breath (hence, it shattered after a few days.
Both capsules require, bakeing the foglight in the oven, takeing the glass off, drilling 3 holes in the foglight for the capsule leg's and the removal of the stock reflective cone that goes over the lightbulb.
It didnt work for me, but i know its worked for others, good luck guys/girls

Thats why I had hoped that yours worked cause I was afraid of messing my stock ones up they are already rigged to work since I had to put in 02 fogs since I changed my bumper.

There pritty easy to do, just heat up the fogs in the oven as you would for the DDE's and take the glass off, then work from there, just when you order the H3 capsules, you have to ask them to send the 9006 legs, then the 9006 legs have to be modified (holes enlarged) to fit the H3 capsules in them, just drill 3 holes in the back of the fogs to put the legs threw, bend them down on the other side, and silicone the fog lense back on. The only key point i have is only do this with non cracked foglights, if you do it with foglights that are even a tiny bit cracked, they WILL crack in half.
Good luck.

I voted yellow cause I found it hard to match the headlights with reliable bulbs. I think I have had bad luck with H3 bulbs because mine would burn out every month or so. With yellow, I didn't have to match them at all.

I have the stock fogs still but if I did anything to the fogs, it would deffinetly be the IS300 yellow. too much xenon light is annoying and looks out of place..yellow spices it up a little and would look especially good if they are really bright+fog rewire ftw

I like the yellow too. I had matching SilverStar bulbs in the past but the fogs just kept getting burnt up and I became too annoyed to buy new and change them every few months... Hidtech all the way...
