Need a quick FIX!!

At Lake Taohe for the 4th and a monster truck backs out and rips off the driver side mirror and leaves a nice black tread mark on the door. What can be used to put the mirror back on? Duct tape will only work for so long.

Strong double sided tape will do for now. Give that a try and see how it goes.
Let us know what you do/did, it will be very exciting...

The truck was a Silverado quad cab with a 3 foot lift and hugh tires. I'm fortunate that it only did that small amount of damage.

I used glue (Permatex SuperGlue). That sucker held for 1-1/2 years probably more if it didn't get hit again.

Duct tape and double sided tape was useless for me, 95* + humidity + direct sunlight = duct tape meltdown.

if you don't mind, the drill + screws are a great idea..
make sure you know where you're drilling

i would just throw that out and use the rear view until you get a new driver side....when that bad boy flys off your car at mid to high speeds and smashes someone's car up, you will feel more guilty passing on the damage

nah but good luck with this.

Yeah I don't have a digi, and he hit it while I was at the beach. So a nice welcome when you get back to your car. I'll try the glue method since it looks like it could bond the plastic together.

damn, did he atleast leave you a note? or did you catch him in the act? try using the gorilla glue, its pretty strong. but theres a chance it will fly off when going on the highway.

That's why whenever I park anywhere, I jot down the license plates of the cars right next to me or snap a quick photo. So far I haven't had any problems. But where my gf used to live, all the cars along the street had hood damage from SUV drivers not knowing how to parallel park.
