IMO, the 5th gen stock intake and cat back exhaust systems are NOT hurting the performance.

It's electronics ('tuning') and headers.

is it required to remove the MAF in order to put the stock intake back on? It almost seems impossible to move my hand freely to tighten the bolt to the airbox w/o moving the MAF but Im afraid if I do move it the SES will go off for no reason..

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but it should not be an issue unless you drop the MAF or something. Alternatively, just assemble the stock airbox+ MAF + resonator off the car and stick all back in as one big piece. That's what I did and it made things really easy.

i just got a 5.5 with a weapon r intake and gladly took it off and replaced it with the oem... great stuff

Can someone provide the best link to a thread with the best/most accurate info regarding CAI or intakes in general...if been looking for a long *** time and so much of what I read is b/s.
