Fuse question
Is it alright to replace my 15amp foglight fuse with a 20amp? Will that cause any problems at all? I heard it is not good but would like to hear from some experts. Thanks! The reason I ask is because I got HIDs in there and it blew the fuse 2 times already. Thanks

don't put a higher rated fuse in a slot that's not desighned for, the 20 amp fuse will not blow(most likely) its just that the wires for the 15 amp fuse slot are disighned to carry a max of 15 amps, overloading them might cause them to melt and short or worse, catch on fire. If you need a higher load, (when adding HIDS) install 20 or 30 amp wires to handle it. Then again, you can risk it and see if anything happens....

Another question is, are your fuses popping as soon as you turn your fog lights on or do they at least last a while and then melt? If they are popping right away, I would check the connections on the fog light bulbs themselves! Good luck!

to answer your questions, the fuse fry once i turn on my hids, i checked my connection, they're all solid and i taped everything up. the first couple of times i turne them on with no problem, then on a cold start when i turn them on, they pop.
the guy cut the power and ground wire going into the stock fogs, then connected the hid's power and ground wire to it. there is no relay involved with the fog hid kit. when i put a 20 amp in there, everything works flawlessly.
any suggestions?

wow i'm not even gonna bother to read responses after the first..
why would u change the fuse? what do you think it's there for? how retarded... the fuse is there to stop excessive current from melting your wires, right? change it, and you let that possibility occur.
get a relay harness man.. doesn't cost that much and you won't have to worry about crap
