Scratched Glass?? Passenger side front window near mirror

Hey, Ive searched on this topic and couldnt find anything relevent. Is there any way possible to buff, or polish out some scratches in the glass. The reason its really pestering me, is mainly at night with the windows up, it kind of puts a glow on the area, seeing as how ITS right there when i look over in the side view mirror. Ive tried to buff it away...IT WONT work. Now ive also read that when dealing with windshield glass it can be dangerous to have scratches in the glass because it could possibly lead to shattering

Does any one have an insight on this issue?

i know that Fix-A-Flat brand makes a Fix-A-Window (or something along those lines looks like a tube a superglue and something else) compound and i guess the idea is that it is to be used for covering up and sealing cracks and ect? .. not sure if it would help you but might be worth looking into...g/l
