Cheaper than Importrp - Brembo Blanks

Im not sure if this should be in the FS thread or this thread, but im leaning towards this one.

www.autopartswarehouse.com has the 2002-2003 Brembo Blank Rotors

BR25642 - Fronts - 58.95ea.
BR25542 -Reats - 38.95ea.

first it looks like importrp has them beat but they offer FREE SHIPPING over $50 and a 10% off $80+ coupon (AEGMA05)

My total came out to $176.xx shipped ground. i think this is cheap and i hope this helps you guys. I think they have 3rd-4th gens also.

*FYI* if the coupon doesnt work, just use live help. Tell them you are trying to use this coupon to buy something. I had this rep named REX who applied the coupon with no questions asked.

Also, not trying to bash Importrp but if its cheaper.... why not tell everyone?

i ordered my first set of blanks from them as well......autopartswarehouse.com will also PRICE MATCH as well...provide them with the link. But importrp is slightly higher.

Me personally, i didnt like the way those Brembo's rusted after having them for like 2 months...i mean they assisted in stopping the car, they did do a good job in terms of that, but it's just me, i didnt like that rust...if you want me to show you some pics of how the rears started to rust, ive swapped out to powerslot slotted rotors for my fronts and rears....i think for the fronts next time around, im going for some powerslot Cryo rotors, or something along those lines

yeah i have to agree with you too since this is my 2nd set of brembos. they do rust and I hate that but powerslots are a bit expensive. i never used powerslots so I cant comment on them. ive heard a lot of rave revies about the powerslots though. maybe ill check them out after this brembos go...

i was pretty happy i got about 50K miles out of them.

lol, i would try out the powerslots though...I like them, other members might not agree with the "whole slotted rotors". They are a bit expensive though, but Im happy with them, ive had the slotted powerslot rotors on the fronts for almost a year, and NO RUST!!!!

what brake pads have you used with the powerslots? ive been using OEM Nissan and Raybestos QS for the Fronts and they are awesome.... except sometimes the Raybestos will make noises.... sometimes though....

I actually got myself Xdrilled Brembo Make rotors that were zinc-plated and prepped by BrakePros/Stillen. I'm very happy with them, no rust and no cracking whatsoever.

OEM??? lol, naw Ive been using Hawk HPS pads all the way around...i tell you, THEY ARE A HELL OF ALOT BETTER, than OEM. ive never used raybestos before, but the only setback i dont like about the hawks, is the noise when they start to get low, and the damn dust is killer, ESPECIALLY AFTER RAINY DAYS. But other than that, THEY REALLY REALLY GRIP, when the pads get hot, you really feel the grip start to kick in. Although when cold, they tend to feel loose for a bit, like they really arent gripping

+1 on their crappy customer service. Make sure that they actually have the parts in stock or they will screw you around for months. FYI, I believe that the rear solid disks by brembo are no longer made. That was my problem with them and they kept sayin that they were waiting on a shipment for over 6 months. Finally I talked to brembo direct just to find out they dont even make them anymore.

Personally, I think importrp is a nice maxima.org sponsor and has pretty good customer service I'd rather deal with them.

haha you guys were right. they sent me the right rear brembo rotors but the wrong front rotors. Instead of brembo blanks they sent me centric blanks. the price difference was about 3 bucks each rotor and since its not a big deal i dont care... but yeah MODS please delete this. STAY WAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

they did ship real fast though. I ordered on monday and got it on wednesday.

well, there is LOTS AND LOTS of controversy in terms of that.

They say SS brake lines increase pedal feel, WHICH it does....it makes the pedal alot firmer under heavy braking where the brake fluid heats up extremely quick. In most cases braking in these situations would cause the rubber lines to expand and give the driving the feeling that the brake pedal is MORE SPONGY or softer, which really doesnt help for driver confidence.

But if you want the real in depth info on SS lines, do a quick search of the site using google.
