AC Fan Not Blowing? Help!

I have replaced the AC fan motor behind the glove box, and my AC still does not blow.

I have checked fuses under the hood & under the dash and I metered the wires leading to the AC fan motor and got 12V & 11V, no ground...

Does anybody have any idea what I need to do next?

BTW the AC compressor works fine a gets cold.

Do you have auto or manual climate control? I bet your power module (auto) or grounding resistor (manual) went out... A temporary fix would be to open it up and solder the big connections, as those tend to go out. But I did this and the fix worked fine for a week or so. I believe both parts are similar, but the power module costs more. Here's a pic:

I have auto, I'll check it out tonight.

So you think the wire connections are loose?

The air did start working a couple of times for a few minutes.

Ok I jumpered the big connections together and the AC fan motor started, but it was running full speed with the AC off.

I guess that's better than nothing, but the alligator clips started to get hot.
I'm looking for a power module now, but I'm not having any luck. I guess I'll call the dealer in the morning.

Ouch... Yeah, I was in a similar situation... At least I had a 10% coupon from my dealer.

I found this part at 4 dealers within 10 miles of me, for $74

Thats not too bad, it's worth it since it's been really hot. And of course my trip to the desert tomorrow.

Well. The part wasn't actually $74. It was next door at the Infinity dealer, and it was $130.

I was shocked, and told the guy the said it was only $20 more. So we dropped the price down to $95. That's a little better, and well worth not having to wait for shipping online.

I installed the part in the parking lot, and now my AC works great!

No I have an extra working AC motor. Anybody need to buy one?

I'm not in a rush, I have been listening to it from back when it was in warranty. The guy at the stealership, said they didn't hear anything, thats a story for a differant day.

PM me. I'll keep it in mind, but I want to spend money on mods. If it lasted this long it'll last another while.

PM me and I'll keep it in mind.

Bump...

Does anyone know the part number for the power module? The fan started working after I unplugged and then re-plugged the connector you have in the picture. But it stopped working again the next day.

Is there any way to be sure the power module is the part I need?
