Delayed Throttle Response

as i talked about in this thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=531072 sometimes i have an abnormal start up. I have researched this a little and also noticed that my car seems to have some delayed throttle response. does this mean i should clean the throttle body as some people have suggested? I have a 2k so I think i can do it with no problems. from what i have read, only the VQ35 (5.5 gens) have a problem when you clean the throttle body. so would it be a mistake to do it?

When my car was cold it would hesitate slightly when accelerating slowly. It turned out to be the MAF. I don't recommend touching the TB unless you know what you are doing. It is easy to screw it up.
