power

Feeling a loss of power with my baby. 2nd thru 5th gear will rev up to 4500 rpm and still sluggish to get up to speed. im at 95 k and recently added an intake and y-pipe, could this be the cat converter or clutch?

My friend had this problem with his 95. I think it was a MAF issue.

the MAF is a good idea to replace anyway right if its old? Since I've read they can go bad or cause a performance loss without actually throwing a code. Mine was replaced at 59k now I'm at 115k...prob. wouldnt be a bad idea

its usually not physical damage, but the oils that destory the sensors inside....if i remember correctly

try a CRC MAF Cleaner first $5 beats $100 if it works

Redemption came today. picked my baby up from the shop. found out i did have an exhaust leak at the midpipe. so my cousin dropped me off at the shop in his 03 max. on the way back he opened up and pulled off. i downshifted from 4th and began to catch up. i hit 4th and caught him. in 5th i pulled off three car lengths. at 120 he couldnt gain on me. went one more time with same results. Finally!

Not really...my driving ends up focusing on my 2006 (red) iPod nano instead of my 2002 4AT.
