Hi All,
The doors on my 2000 Maxima don't close just right. I think the front doors are worse than the rear doors. Almost everyone that gets in my car doesn't close the car doors two or three times and I think it's beyond being a little air tight. The latch seems to hit a little bit although it doesn't have a big metal sound. I think the car or doors have sagged a little bit since new. I am wondering if anyone else has this thought. I will look a little closer this weekend and see if the door seems to go up when I shut the door. This is bothering me and I am wondering if there is a problem. Please check your cars and let me know what you think.

0 front passenger door is hard to close... not one of my friends can close it on the first try... it kinda ****es me off.... i dunno whats wrong with it...

 

its the seals...they are nice and tight. open another door or the sunroof and then close the door. It will be much easier then....

 

try to oil it....
The driver door is the worst then the passanger and then the back doors are the same...

UMD what do you mean the seals?

 

the seals are the rubber gaskets around the doors....

 

My doors have been and are still tight if all the windows are closed and the sun roof is closed. I constantly pull 2-3 times on my door. If a window is cracked just 1/4 inch the door will close with a gentle nudje.
Just get used to slamming it, I have.

This same air tightnes is why when you turn on the vent only control with no fan speed, virtually no air comes in.
