Moog Sway Bar Link

I purchased the Moog sway bar link and quite stumped with the lack of documentation provided by the supplier.

It come with a 2 nuts a 2 grease nipples (since I don't know how to upload the photo, will make the best by writing). Anyway, the links itself have a hole to stick in the nipples but I want to understand do I have to grease it with a grease gun after put the nipple and tightening it.

I would have thought the manufacturer should have all installed with the grease in it.

Any suggestions will help.

I would just return them and spend the extra money for oem. If it has grease nipples than most likely you will need to get a grease gun for which you may never use again.

I bought is almost a yr ago and kept it in the garage. Either I use it or discard it, but then since the nipples are off from the supplier, I can apply grease (Mobil1 synthetic grease) using my fingers and then thread in the nipples for good.

What surprises me I got the stuff from

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/

and it is off the list of replacement items. I actually went for Moog since they are highly recommended replacement suspension manufacturer (paying a premium). Anyway, I will just apply grease into it and thread in the nipple for good and call it a day!!!

OEM links lasted 130K, if this lasts another 70K, I will be happy..

Installed it, pretty simple except for the nuts, with all the must and brake dust it was stuck pretty well. Penentrating fluid made it break loose.

What a difference in ride, thorougly impressed. No longer notice those little bumps, pleasant ride. Strongly recommend replacing it first if you have many miles.

In the process broke a lug nut. Idiots at Costco had over torqued it. Need to get that fixed sooner or later.

anyone know if you're suppose to add a washer or reuse oem "flange" nuts on inside of assembly? i noticed the moog kit only came with 2 flange nuts for the outside of the top and bottom.

Do not use a washer. The nuts has a rough surface to grip properly on the sway bar and the control arm. If you use a washer you'll lose part of this grip.
