Hey Guys,

I'm gonna be wiring up some LED's to my car ... more specifically I'm going to be Tapping into the PARKING/CORNER/BLINKERS (or whatever U want to call it)

** I want the LED's to go on When the Parking lights are on, and Flash when I Signal **

Here's the Problem ...

There are 3 Lines attatched to them:

1) RED (Power ?)
2) BLACK (Ground ?)
3) GREEN (NO CLUE ???)

I'm going to be Hooking up the RED Wire(from LED) to the RED Wire(attached to Parking Light)

Now where do I hook up the BLACK Wire(from LED) ????
** Don't forget I want it to BLINK when I signal **

Thanx,
Eric

First of all, The black is Ground, The red wire is for the parking lights, not the blinkers. Just parking lights. The GREEN wire is for the turn signal blinkers. That means if you want to make the LEDs blink with the turn signals, you want to hook up the black wire from the led to the black or just ground it if that is easier. And then hook up the RED wire from the LEDs to the GREEN wire coming out of your orange corner light.

GOT IT? Dont worry about putting any load on that light, since you got LEDs, the load is barely measurable on a tester.

Yeah, but depending on where he got the LEDs, he may need to consider the putting on a voltage drop/current limiting resistor. Aren't those blinkers 12 volts? Most LEDs will pop over 3v.

Just so used to doing it at work with all the email I write. So I do it all the time. It is my First name. Just been doing it all the time.

You are correct, I was only assuming that either the LEDs were 12v or that he had the whole circuitry built in.

They will only signal.

No they will only signal if you connect to the green. If you do red on red, then they will not signal, they will only act as parking lights.
