The title is pretty self explanatory. How many 2002 Black on Black 3.5l 6-speed maximas were made?
Is that even a trackable number?

they arent that uncommon. theres a 02 black black 6 speed hlsd te for sale by my house...i thought about buying it for 3 days...but didnt want it. maximas are not rare, no matter what you think.

 

You are not the only one. Mine is set up identical to yours. My 2k2 automatic that I had before this one was black and exactly the same also. Six speed manual with no sunroof is quite rare. Birchrj has a gray one thats equipped this way. he has HLSD tho.

 

 

I've never seen production numbers broken down by color or transmission but I think Nissan sold roughly 90,000 Maxima's in 2002. It is well known that 5% of all Maxima's every year were standard transmission so production numbers for 2002 6-Speeds should have been around 4,500. Most likely only Nissan knows how many were produced in each color.

 

Sooner, I know KH3 is for Super Black, what is the /G? And is RS6FS1A our non-LSD trans code?

i have one..... but 6mt is kind of hard to find. but it gets much harder when looking for specific options .

the hardest color to find from my experience is the grey lustre/black interior 6 speed fully loaded.....

ive only seen 2, and both were over the internet.

I test drove an 02 6 speed, black on black leather, roof, bose, climate, meridian package etc the other day. The 6 speed is very much livelier than the auto that I own.

I have leather seats but I have manual climate control, no memory seat, no power passenger seat.
Was there an option to get just the leather seats or do you think the previous owner might have replaced the seats and the door panels?

BTW, manual transmission Maximas are really rare where I live.

all three interior colors (leather and cloth) were available with the black exterior

my educated guess...
2-3% of 2002 Maximas have black exterior, black interior, and 6MT (1,800-2,700)
~1% of 2002 Maximas have black exterior, black LEATHER interior, and 6MT (900)

some have been totaled so...about 850 2002 Maximas have black exterior, black LEATHER interior, and 6MT on the road

Geez if black only had ~850, I wonder what my tungsten blue/frost cloth/6mt/bose/sunroof works out to be. I'm guessing less than 500, as I've never seen another one.

I've wondered how many 6MT's were made with factory navigation. And yes, mine came with everything offered by Nissan for 2003. I'd say that option package is about the rarest, probably less than 1% of all Maximas had factory nav and probably less than 10% of those were 6MT. And that's not even taking into consideration color or other options.

 

Clean your wheels Jesus. Make them look more Ti style. The front sorta passes, but the rear BTW, now THAT's TF I'm talking about.

Considering the fact that I had driven over 3000 miles at that point (most of which in your fine state!) since I had washed it, I was lucky the car even looked that good! lol I had no idea what a "flowing wash" was until I drove through several... I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It actually looked great when I was in AR and hadn't yet discovered the fact that it can go from sunny and 80 to 30 and snowing in a day around the 4-corners region.

i have a tungsten/leather/6spd with everything cept navi and hlsd. i actually saw another tungsten the other day, first ive seen since i got the car in june 2002

well, i dont have everything, even though i feel that it would not be possible to have both heated/non heated steering wheel, leather and cloth seats, bose and non-bose...if you take the statement "everything except...." that means they would have everything if they had those items, so everything is more a marker than them saying they are fully loaded. when i say everything except..., what i am saying is "picture everything, then take out navi and hlsd"

Well I have an 03 polished titanium 6 speed with every option including HSLD except navi. That color choice was only available in 03 so I figure there probably aren't many of these with 6 speed on the road. Rare car and I love it.
