Door Molding
Door Molding
I need to replace a door molding - the one that is in the middle of the door to prevent door dings. Anyone know how to do this? The parts guy thought adhesive strips might hold this on. If so how does one remove the old one?
thanks

I think it is just adhesive. Take some dental floss, fishing line and saw your way through to get it off. That is the way you take off the badges of the trunk as well soo.....
There might be clips in it as well but I'm unsure. Obviously if you run into something then you know what it is. It will just be a pop in like the spoiler is.

mine came off the other day, but that was because it was already seperated 1/2 inch, and the my dog's leash got caught in it and ripped it off. I was able to stick it back on with mild success, but I'm going to need to apply adhesive.
BTW, I did the same thing in my 93 max. Just use some generic automotive adhesive (meant for plastic to metal contact) and two c-clamps, to hold it in for a couple of hours. No biggie
