Led marker light question

Before I start, I did a search on this and did not find the result I wanted. I bought these on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...148832934&rd=1

I installed them in the front marker lenses next to the headlight. However, compared to the stock HID's they are slightly blue. If I get a set of 6k HID's will they be a closer match? Or will I have to step up to 8k?

i dont know what they look like.. but i have some "super white" leds from autolumination and they look slightly blue as well.. they're bluer than my 6k HID's, though not too far off... but if i wanted a closer match, I'd have to have 8k HID's

do you know about the issue of light output on any color temp. above 6k?

Yeah, I have heard that it decreases as the output gets higher. How are your 6k's?

That's true, the light output does decrease, but if you step up to a 6k, it shouldn't be that big of a difference. I think around 8k is where you can actually start telling the difference

or you could just leave it all alone , if thats the ONLY reason your gonna upgrade to 6000k

Ive got 8000k in my OEM 01 headlights now, and its starting to annoy me....I just havent made time to upgrade to my 2K2 headlights yet....Ive got the cler sidemarkers and all...But i just cant find the time to get it done RIGHT!

If you wanna know what an 8000k kit will look liike as far as color...check out my car domain page... Im not fond of the color, besides light ouput decreases in wet road conditions because of the color reflecting off the slick road

But my advice to you, is NOT to upgrde your bulbs if the only reason your upgrading is to match some 10 dollar LED's from ebay....not really a wise decision. If anything go get some PIAA extreme white LED's

the 6k's are pretty good.. light output is amazing compared to stock and actually seems better than other cars with stock hid's.. the color of my 6k's actually make those other car's hid's look like halogens on the road as far as color.. they dont have a very good "cutoff" but i'm not really concerned with that.. they light up the road very nicely, the color is very nice.. and they're not bright enough to blind people

Yes you are correct because apparently you know everything.

If you actually look thats not the color of the light they output, its still white.
