Windshield fogging up problem

My windshield lately has been fogging up a lot!!! Even the regular manual defog setting doesn't clear it. I have to use the actual front auto setting to clear it all the time which means my A/C is on. Does anyone know why this is happening? BTW I got the auto climate control.

Try replacing your in-cabin filter

Sounds very similar. My windshield was replaced awhile ago (some may remember my flying Ice incident). Its an OEM replacement. I am a smoker, however my original windshield was not that bad. Maybe its a cleaner I used. I will try that first before looking into the in-cabin filter.

Yeah, smoking is definitely a factor in this problem, but if it's worse than your original windshield, I would suggest try a different cleaner first like you said.

I had serious problems in the winter with a foggy windshield so I cleaned the in cabin filter and it basically eliminated the problem.

Any funny smell ? if so it may be a possibility that the heater core is leaking, they seem to be made cheap, atleast in the 2000 max, its a aluminum core but the hose connectors are plastic and screwed onto the core and theres just a O ring to prevent leaking.
