Help!...thumping over potholes!

My struts and strut mounts were replaced 4 mos ago. Now i hear a thudding/thumping over rough road and bumps on the passenger side front. i cant find anything visually...what could it be?

check your motor mounts.

I just had my Struts, Strut Mounts and Motor mounts all replaced and that noise I had went away. I had the same thing.... It cost me like 900 bux to do all this but it was worth it. It was making me mad

lol, i paied $201 fior the pair of front stuts, installed them myself in the parking lot, Noise gone iam happy.

damn, Nisomospeed got RAPED. My mechanic is charging me $350 do do my front and rear struts/springs, new endlinks, and tie rod ends + an alignment

it really depend on how many mount had put in, the motor mount cost more than 100 a piece.

if it is infact the motor mount, wouldnt the care shake a little when stopped at a light? i remember my g20 used to rumble in reverse when it needed new mounts!

I assume Nisomospeed was also including the parts, in his $900 dollar pice tag, and not just the labor.....but I could be wrong.


Mxpwr2k1: I would start with your right-front strut, first, before digging into the motor mounts...
