Pothole Victim, Should I fix it?
#1
A pothole in Brooklyn bent the sh%t out of my rim. I'm starting to hate 40 series tires, (excessive speed probally didn't help). 10 minutes later, another pothole, the donut was bent also, not a good night. The question is should I try to get it fixed? The rims are Enkie RP-05's 17 inch aluminum, 2 months old. Has anyone ever had an aluminum rim fixed, and was it sucessful, also where to go to get it fixed? I live in NJ. Any input will be appreciated.

You shouldn't be using 40-series rubber. If you had 235/45ZR/17, there would be more sidewall and you probably wouldn't bend the wheels. You can get wheels repaired. I had two bent wheels repaired, good as new, a while back.
