P0744 - Is it OK to drive?

I've gotten codes P0720 & P0744. I will be replacing the revolution sensor this afternoon to help fix the P0720. Had the stuck in 2nd gear problem a couple of times.

But I am concerned about the P0744. From looking around on the web and the FSM, the most likely culprit is the torque converter clutch solenoid valve or the line pressure solenoid valve. Either way, the entire assembly needs to be replaced. I will be going out of town on a road trip this weekend. Does this problem need to be fixed immediately, or can it wait a week? I've read that the problem is important to fix soon, but does not require immediate work. It will just result in reduced fuel economy. Is this right?

do you realy think its a good idea to take the car on a road trip if one of those sensors is bad? what happens if you get stranded somewhere it will cost 5 time more to fix and your road trip will be shot.
