A question for EVERY SINGLE ONE of you! :)

I am very bored today. I have a question that everyone of you can answer. I know for the fact that every single one of you here are using a computer to get on the forum. So I want to ask a few questions:
What CPU do you have?
How much ram?
How fast is your hard drive?
Operating system?
internet connection?
And video card.
I want to see if the "postwhores" have good computers....
BTW, I am a postwhore!

this is so OT but.. oh well...
My dev machine.
i933/512M CL2/2x30G promise RAID, + another 40G, all ibm7200
w2k pro, Asus GF2 GTS.
my second machine controls my phone system and security cameras. its about the same as above but with w98 (apps not 2k compatible) and with a GF2MX400. I have that on a KDS LCD flat screen that I scooped up from Office Depot for $395 (no rebates or anything)! helluvadeal. it sits in the den and I didnt want a tube monitor taking up space.
all wired with DSL via router.
the laptop needs a 803.11 card, but I just havent sprung for that yet.

oh.. case mods..
I kinda went the other way.. I cant stand the sound of the fans... so I got 2 Enermax 365 whisper powersupplies and PCpower and cooling ultra quiet low rpm CPU fans.
then I dynamatted the cases (Extreme). you can *barely* hear the drives accessing. just the way I like it.
I monitor the temps with a Digital Doc 5 just incase the extra insulation and lower RPMs fans start looking for trouble.

Re: oh.. case mods..
heh, my case sounds like a jet...
i tried sound deadening stuff, but it only stopped vibrations... too much noise coming outta my fans
my ears eventually got used to the loud BUZZZZZ, but my friends havnt
quiet fans were too weak for me

LOL dooball, I see that diablo 2 case in your picture! I think you should do some business on ebay with diablo 2!
My bro found all these cool items that he is selling on ebay. He started 3 days ago and now he has 300 bucks in his paypal account just selling diablo 2 weapons.
I am planning to take some of his money (I know his paypal password) and order me a FSTB!

its not a neon. its a cold cathode rod, which is MUCH brighter. it got a prebuilt kit from www.pcmods.com . you can easily convert a car neon for pc, just buy a molex connector and some other parts from radioshack.
cold cathode was a bit different, and pcmods knew what they were doing.
as for my 'fast' pc, i do alot of web/design work, and im a big gamer. im not a play-sometimes-gamer, I AM HARDCORE!!! 2 time XTGL 1v1 RocketArena3 champion! i know alot of people in the pro q3 scene as well. i also work for gamespy, and if anyones going to quakecon, i'll be their
my hand-eye cooridination helps alot when driving
eventually, ill convert to Apple/Mac. with nvidia jumping into the mac scene, its a matter of time until every company is making pc/mac software & hardware at the same.time.

My friends rig
Well, my friend came to me and asked me to help him design his next gaming rig. This is what I designed for him and he built it.
Enlight 7230 Case w/ 300W Enlight PSU
AMD 1.33 Ghz Athlon T-Bird
OCZ Gladiator Pure Copper w/ Black label Delta
OCZ QuickSilver Thermal Grease (Just as good as Arctic Silver2)
ABit KT7A-Raid
512 MB PC 133 SD RAM
Elsa Geforce2 Ultra
2x 40GB IBM Deskstar HDD @ 7200 RPM, ATA-100, and 2 MB Buffer in a Raid-0 config
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Platinum with Live! Drive
Creative 12x10x32 CD-RW
Creative 16x DVD-ROM
3Com EtherLink 10/100 3C905C-TX-M
19" Monitor
Windows 98 SE
I forgot what speakers he used.
Pacbell DSL Connection
Well, as you can see, that's a damned fast rig. I wish he was into overclocking, cause I would take that baby up to 1.55 GHz. The Heatsink/Fan/Thermal Grease combo is one of the best out there for the price, so I hope he does something with that great cooling setup. himSome of you may wonder where the DDR SDRAM went, the reason I opted out of the DDR was that he has budget constraints, he wanted 512MB of it, no super stable motherboards were out for DDR at the time (that's why I went with the ABit), and that DDR's performance increase of 10-15% didn't justify the many problems that getting DDR would create. So, we went with PC 133. We went with Raid-0 to try to eliminate the HDD bottleneck that many computers have. Man, that computer is a dream.
:: Drool::
Damnit, now I just remembered to ask him if he got an AXIA core...

Oops, sorry. I wrote that post a little fast, left out one small detail
What do you mean they won't be out until September? I was told a couple days!!!
I just picked up a PowerMac G4/733 on June 30th and then I seen the dual 800 so now the 733 is in it's box and going back to compusa restocking fee and all!
Are you sure it won't be until September? Do you know of a specifc date?
I also have a 17 inch flat panel studio display sitting in the box.... I only used the 733 for 2 and a half weeks.

Damnit, now I just remembered to ask him if he got an AXIA core...
Well, my friend came to me and asked me to help him design his next gaming rig. This is what I designed for him and he built it.

I've heard of them running at 150-160MHz FSB daily with no stability problems. That's the exact chip cooler I wanted also...

its cheating and takes the fun out of DYI'ing. but its clean, and neater than using a pencil.

DAYUM PEOPLE !!!
Many of you guys are running some kicka$$ systems with a TON of potential that's all being held back by crappy Win 9x based (95, 98, 98SE, ME) operating systems. You guys seriously need to upgrade to Windows 2000 Pro or even Windows XP, which is based off of 2k/NT.
Back when I was a computer geek in college. My computer had the most stuff shared out on Penn State's HIGHLY ILLEGAL local student network and I averaged over 1000MB of traffic per day and NO ****!!! Here are some shots of the action:
Here is my trusty network administrator, Pooh. He watched over the server while I was away at classes and the lab, and other things. Here he takes a break and poses for a shot.
Also, to scare away hackers I employed Cartman. Don't mess with Cartman - he'll f*ck you up!!
Oh yeah, the specs ;-)
PII-400 (never gamed, don't need massive CPU power)
256M PC100 RAM (BX motherboard)
Windows 2000 Professional SP2
56 GB of disk space across 3 drives
ATI Rage 128 Pro (32M)
DVD
Adaptec AHA-2930U Ultra-SCSI (Zip, Scanner, CD-RW)
17" 1600 x 1200 monitor
