Well I know 2000 rules and all that, but I didn't know about the difference. I'll check it out. I know they have the extra redundant audio controls, but I didn't know the wheel changed. I think the redundant controls are not needed. The stereo is already in a good location, unlike some cars with a low set setup.

no way dudes!! the audio controls on the steering wheel is the best thing that happened to the maxima. having it is like going from auto to 5 speed... you dont go back. thats the only thing keeping me from changing my steering wheel to a momo or buying a new head unit. im afraid i wont be able to control the radio from my steering wheel. you're right though, it does look pretty bad, but the comfort of being able to change stations or track without reaching makes it worth it.

the angle, location, and background makes it work so well. and the stock rimz remind me of the benz e-class rims...

That's what I'm talking about!!! But the thing i most like about my Max is that I can tell it apart from all the other Camry's and Accord's littering the lot.

I actually paid close attention to the steering wheel yesterday. My hands automatically go to the 3-9 position, its thick enough to grip easily and there's even indents on the back of the wheel for my fingers. The audio controls are a real bonus, and can be maniputlated without taking my hands off the wheel. Very good design.
When I was learning the positions of all the steering wheel buttons, I wanted them lit, but now realize that would have driven me crazy...
What's different between the 2K and 2K1 steering wheels?

Welcome back Alex.
Where have you been anyways?
Never looked at the 2k steering wheel closeup. Gotta love my radio controls though. I'm so used to using my thumb to change stations/tracks that when I change cars, I have to make a mental adjustment in order to play with the radio.
