This was in Austin tonight, I followed a CL-S out of the parking lot, wanting to run him since he was hanging out with all the other car guys. Well I got caught by traffic and finally met up with him at the next light on the access road. He knew it was on......Powerbraking, and me reving. I had a perfect take off on the light spun a little hoped and took off. By 80 I was 2 cars ahead!!! Okay, so we both did it again, this time from a 10mph roll, again 1 1/2 cars or so! Okay, so we got on the highway...

55mph roll, we both hit it. I pulled in my 3rd to about 1 car ahead, then after I hit 110~ I was not gaining, by 120~ he looked like he MAY have been catching back up slowly, then we let off..... Anyways, now with the intake, hahahha they just can't hang if we get the lanch!

Do you see a lot of CL-S in Texas? Over in LA I barely see any...I'd expect more..

Raced one from 80mph,He quickly opened up a 3-4length gap on me[i was not ready]. A short distance later me and Mr CL-S slid into a curve TOGETHER at 100mph whereupon we both hit our brakes hard and he took his exit soon thereafter.

There were a couple of CL-S running the 1/4 at Maxus. I think the fastest one of them ran was 15.1 with a CAI. Most of the runs I saw were in the mid 15's for those guys...

I raced one in the 1/4 mile at Maxus. He got a 15.5 to my 15.3. I checked his car and he had the comptech headers, I only have an intake...so any 5th gen 5spd with a y-pipe shouldn't have any problem. So go get a y-pipe like I am going to do!

Thanks! It's been a long process. I think you got your Max before I did, but I'm the one that went mod crazy.

Sure LoveSick...

I bought mine from this place because they take credit cards which means you get the Zaino sooner. Zaino Bros. makes you mail in a money order.

the best I could do was a 15.7 @ 88 .... a lot of people were running 16's and 17's in the 1/4 also.... so at least I didn't do that bad.. I was getting a lot of wheel spin and my launching method needs work... oh well, not horrible considering it was my first time

That is not bad at all! I forget, do you have a stick or auto? Did you run against any Type-S guys?

I have an automagic with intake and y-pipe.... I didn't get to run against any CL-S's..... but they were all running mid 15's also.

lets give the cl-s people some props, those cars are pretty fast. the blue cl-s at maxus was my friend's... i didnt know he had it until maxus... but anyways, he ran 15.0 and 14.9 with cai only. thats pretty darn fast, and get this, that was my friend's first time at the track.

yeah, I saw that run.... that was pretty good for only a CAI. Did the other guy that was running have headers? I think someone said he had the comptech headers...

So the 260HP modded CL-S didn't beat theblue 222hp with no y-pipe? What were your times like? It is all about the launch and it defintely takes skill to launch a 5spd Maxima.

My time sucked. I ran 3 times with a 15.54 as my best time and that was with a misshift in 3rd gear. i had trouble launching being at the track for the first time and i kept launching to late. now, how do i join the smc? ill be back at the track and hopefully i can be in the low 15's or high 14's with practice.

just wondering, what is the fastest 5th gen 5speed NA with 18" rims?
